Jorovic, Flink , Radanovic, Panova cause upsets to move into final qualifying rounds

Tashkent ,  September 22 :   Ivana Jorovic  , Dejana Radanovic of Serbia, Varvara Flink  and Alexandra Panova of Russia  caused upsets in the first round of the qualifying at the  20th  Tashkent Open WTA Championships at the Olympic Tennis Complex here.

Serbian Ivana Jorovic upset  second seeded Conny Perrin of Switzerland  1/6,7/6(4),6/4 , her country mate  Dejana Radanovic  upset fourth seeded Viktoriya Tomova  of Bulgaria 6/2,6/4 .  Tashkent regular and doubles specialist Alexandra Panova  of  Russia  out rallied British  player  and sixth seeded Harriet Dart  4/6,6/1,6/1 , while  Varvara Flink  also of Russia put out  seventh seeded  Elena Rybakina  of Kazakhstan  6/4,3/6,6/3 to move into the final round of  the qualifying

Dutch woman Bibiane Schoofs  proved a little more wily for  local star  and wildcard Akgul Amanmuradova  winning 7/5,6/3 , while top seeded  Anastasia Potapova  proved too strong for young Uzbek wildcard  Yasmina Karimjanova  winning  6/3,6/1
