Tashkent , September 25 : Third seeded Hiroko Kuwata of Japan , fourth seeded Sabina Sharipova of Uzbekistan , Sixth seeded Tereza, Martincova of Czech Republic , Seventh seeded Ipek, Soylu of Turkey scored contrasting wins to move into the Main draw of the 18th edition of Tashkent Open WTA Championships being played at the Olympic tennis School in Tashkent.
In the second and the final round of the qualifying played today Third seeded Hiroko Kuwata became the fourth Japanese player to feature in the main draw of the event rallying past Polish player Katarzyna Piter 6-2,7-6(0), fourth seeded Sabina Sharipova brought cheer to the home crowd as she out played Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina 6-3,6-2.
Sixth seeded Tereza Martincova of Czech Republic accounted for Sofia Shapatava of Georgia 6-4,7-5 , Seventh seeded Ipek Soylu of Turkey fresh from a win at a $50000 ITF event in China came back from behind to stop a fighting Ankita Raina of India 1-6,6-1,6-2 in the longest match of the day .
While the winners of today's match apart from an entry into the main draw assured themselves of 18 points and $2220 each for their effort , the losers would have to be content with 12 points and $1285 each
